Sweaters get thicker, jackets warmer – so it’s time to take off those layers and head to the nearest sauna! Especially during the cold season, many people enjoy visiting these warm huts. And the promised benefits are plenty: improved blood pressure and metabolism, reduced cardiovascular risk… the list goes on!
But is it really that simple? Should everyone try out the sauna? Definitely not! We believe it’s a bit more complex than that. People with pre-existing heart conditions, in particular, should be cautious, as the extreme temperatures pose a significant strain and risk for them! (Why? Find out in the audio! ;))
For more information and in-depth answers on the topic of saunas, it’s best to listen to our audio! Dr. Schahab explains clearly and concisely what to keep in mind, the potential benefits of saunas, and how heart patients can prepare for a sauna visit.
So, enjoy listening, and happy, healthy sauna sessions!
